I Love To Spend My Salary On Delicious Food, Cafe Hop, And At Popular Restaurants

by The Simple Sum | 16 Sep 2024

I am not really a glutton. But I love to spend money on food. Every month when it is pay day, I will start planning which cafe to visit to “reward” myself.

Cafe hopping is part of my life, it makes me feel better about working as an adult. It is also my way of spending my salary as a young adult. From delicious waffles to artisanal ice cream, it’s always a fun outing as I get to explore new eating places and popular restaurants.

I hunt for great places through Instagram and from the people I follow on the platform. If I see a friend heading out for a good meal in a lovely location, I bookmark it as a future eatery to consider. I don’t keep track of how much I spend a month on food, but I am fine if I can cover my monthly expenses.

#51: Spend Money On Things That Make You Truly Happy! | Intentional Spending

It’s a great way to spend my hard-earned cash. The only drawback is that some days I find it hard to find friends who are willing to go to explore those places with me and they say that it is over their budget.

Another problem I realised is that people that I go on dates with say I am “high maintenance”. Usually, those dates don’t last. So, I often have to date new people to explore new cafes.

My parents are okay with me suggesting eating at those places but not all the time. They still prefer home cooked meals more often.
